Taking Control of Your Health

Will the Down Economy Herald the Use of Natural Medicine?

By Dr. Joseph Mercola on 12/30/2008

The American health care system is more than twice as expensive as the health care system of any other industrial country, yet premature deaths caused by its inappropriate, and overpriced, interventions are increasing at an exponential rate…

How can this be?

Because Americans have been successfully brainwashed into believing the fairytale that prescription drugs can prevent and cure disease.

But as I have reported before, fatalities now account for 23 percent of all reported adverse effects of prescription drugs! And overall reports of side effects increased a whopping 38 percent in the first quarter of this year, compared to the previous four quarters.

There is no doubt in my mind that a vast majority of the population is severely overmedicated with expensive and nearly always unnecessary drugs, considering the multitude of natural therapeutic options.

The only way to turn this devastating situation around is to remind the public of the basic truths that nearly all their ancestors knew:Health has nothing to do with pills, and everything to do with sensible lifestyles that include a healthy diet, stress relief, and exercise…

Taking Control of Your Health

More government involvement doesn’t hold the answer to the health care crisis. What is needed is more personal involvement — your personal involvement — in the form of a commitment to your own health.

If you carefully follow some basic health principles — simple things like exercising, eating whole foods, sleeping enough, getting sun exposure, reducing stress in your life, and nurturing personal relationships — you will drastically reduce your need for conventional medical care…

Food for Thought – worth sharing

Here are 15 rules for being human but the most important rule is living with an open heart for only then are you capable of seeing through the heart : Allen L Roland

by Cherie Carter-Scott and Allen L Roland

1. You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it’s yours to keep for the entire period.

2. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."

3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial, error, and experimentation. The "failed" experiments are as much a part of the process as the experiments that ultimately "work."

4. Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.

5. Learning lessons does not end. There’s no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If you’re alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.

6. "There" is no better a place than "here." When your "there" has become a "here", you will simply obtain another "there" that will again look better than "here."

7. Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.

8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

9. Your answers lie within you. The answers to life’s questions lie within you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.

10. You will not fully experience yourself until you fully surrender to love and open your heart . The path of the heart is always through doors of fear.

11. Your authentic vocation is known only to your heart which is also your ultimate teacher. Your mind is the student.

12. You will know all the secrets of life if you fully open your heart and become a fragment of life’s heart ~ the Unified Field of love and soul consciousness.

13. Being human means being real and authentic regardless of the risks.

14. In essence, Being human means truly being and sharing yourself and that, in itself, is your ultimate gift to mankind.

15. You will forget all of this.

Smile for Health!

Smiling is infectious; you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin
When he smiled I realized I’d passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile then I realized its worth,
A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin, don’t leave it undetected
Let’s start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!
Keep the smile going by sending this on to a friend.
Everyone needs a smile!!!

5 Ways to Avoid the Flu and 5 Ways to Treat It

By Dr. Alan Inglis on 12/18/2008

Flu season is here again, but you don’t have to suffer through it and you don’t have to get a flu shot. There are several easy steps you can take to avoid the flu, and many natural ways to treat it.

1. Manage your symptoms and triggers

Pay attention to these early symptoms: fatigue, irritability, sneezing, coughing, a runny nose, and a sore throat. These could be early indicators that you’re getting the flu-but you still have time to prevent a full-blown illness. The viral load is still low in the early stages, and that’s when you’ll have the greatest chance to gain the upper hand.

The best treatments are the simplest: rest and relaxation. Easier said than done, but think how you’ll feel a few days later if you don’t. Take a day or two off from work and volunteering. You may not feel especially sick, but you are-and your friends and neighbors will thank you for keeping your infection to yourself.

And understand that poorly managed emotional stress is an immune-system threat. Try to keep your stress levels low while you’re dealing with early flu symptoms.

2. Curtail your dance card

I’m not advocating that you hole up in your home all winter. But there may be certain occasions when you should think twice about attending a stream of group gatherings that fall smack-dab in the middle of flu season. If you’re overtired, stressed from being stretched too thin, or feel like your body is trying to fight something off, for heaven’s sake-stay home. Your body is waving a red flag!

And remember-you could be exposing yourself to people who don’t yet realize they’re sick. ALWAYS wash your hands after any contact with another person. I’m a stickler for a full 30 seconds of vigorous hand scrubbing. Count those seconds out. It may seem like an eternity, but warm water and soap can send an opportunistic virus packing.

3. Enhance your immunity

Here’s an excellent immune-system booster that can help you through the flu season: EpiCor. It’s derived from fermented brewer’s yeast, and its discovery is one neat story. Factory workers were exposed to this fermented yeast on a long-term basis, and management found they weren’t calling in sick or making health-insurance claims. They dug around a little-and EpiCor was born when the connection was discovered.

Sound studies have confirmed its safety and its specific effects on the immune system. For example, it boosts disease-fighting immune-cell counts. It also promotes the production of secretory IgA, an important first line of defense for your respiratory system. Use EpiCor daily during the flu season-especially if you have a history of getting the flu every year.

4. Work Echinacea into your routine

Echinacea has been the target of a misinformation campaign. The mainstream has latched on to the idea that it doesn’t work, but that’s due to some poorly designed studies that were promoted by a largely ignorant mainstream press.

This herb works as an immune-system tonic-not as a stimulant, as has been widely reported. That means you can scrap those dire warnings to give your body a break every month or so, because Echinacea won’t cause an overactive immune system. Likewise, folks with autoimmune disease, such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, do not need to be frightened by warnings that it will make their conditions worse-warnings with absolutely no basis in scientific fact.

Native Americans have used the root portion of Echinacea angustifolia for centuries. There are two products I recommend that use it, too. One is Nature’s Way Echinacea Complex (2 caps twice daily), and the other is MediHerb’s Echinacea Premium (1 tspn per day). Be forewarned: You’ll get a tingle on your tongue-but don’t be alarmed. It’s just Echinacea’s active ingredients, called alkylamides.

5. Try some mushroom magic

Medical mycology, the study of medicinal mushrooms, is still in its infancy in this country. Mushrooms have been used for centuries in China and Japan as immune-system modulators and for treating a wide variety of illnesses, including cancer. Reishi, cordyceps, maitake and shiitake are better-known examples of immune-enhancing mushrooms. I recommend a product called Host Defense, made by New Chapter. It’s a combination immune-enhancer with 17 different mushroom extracts. Another worthwhile product is AHCC (activated hexose containing compound), available from many suppliers. It’s derived from shiitake mushrooms and is widely used to help treat a variety of illnesses-including the flu.

5 ways to treat the flu

If, despite your best intentions, you come down with the flu, there’s plenty you can do to fight it. And fighting the flu doesn’t mean accepting a handful of dangerous and expensive prescriptions. Try these safer, natural cures instead. I’ve used them to cure more cases of the flu than I can count.

1. Get this homeopathic cure Europeans swear by

An eccentric genius named Samuel Hahnemann devised the treatment system of homeopathy over 200 years ago. Yet, the mainstream medical establishment treats it like a new, unproven science. Which means, unfortunately, a lot of docs are missing out on Oscillo-coccinum, a fantastic homeopathic remedy. I first learned of it from an ICU nurse who swore by it, and I now recommend it to all my patients. They attest to its excellent record in shortening the duration of their flu symptoms-especially when they take Oscillococcinum at the very first telltale signs. My patients also like how inexpensive it is since you only need a handful of doses that shouldn’t run you more than five or six dollars max.

2. Fight infections with black elderberry

The black elderberry is good for more than making wine. It has a long history of use for treating upper respiratory infections. Black elderberry has been shown in test-tube studies to fight against the most common flu viruses. It has also shown activity against the feared H5N1 avian flu virus. I recommend two formulations.

The first is Sambucol (made by Nature’s Way), shown to be effective in shortening flu duration and alleviating symptoms in several well-designed studies. (Minor note: it tastes pretty good, unlike some of that vomit-inducing stuff Big Pharma produces.) The second formulation is called Viral Block, available from New Chapter.

3. Add some spice to your flu fight

Wild Mediterranean oregano has long been reputed to have strong antibacterial, antiparasitic and antifungal (i.e. yeast) powers-and research is now proving it. The active components of oregano are thymol and carvacrol. It’s powerful stuff for treating acute illness. I recommend Oregano Force, from New Chapter.

4. Put the Indian "wonder shrub" to work for you

Andrographis is a remarkable shrub referred to as the Indian Echinacea-and it’s commonly used in India, China, and now Sweden. It’s an immune-system tonic and treatment for bacterial and viral infections. Andrographis was credited with helping slow down the great 1919 Indian flu epidemic-part of the infamous Spanish flu epidemic that killed between 20 million and 40 million people. It’s an effective acute remedy for flu infections and is supported by an increasing number of small, positive studies. Nature’s Way and Medi-Herb both offer quality Andrographis products. The Medi-Herb complex is combined with Echinacea in a form that could also be used for general support throughout the flu season. The Nature’s Way product can be found in grocery stores. The Medi-Herb product can be ordered only through a participating health professional, so you’ll need to go to www.mediherb.com to locate one.

5. Give the flu an olive branch

Olive-leaf extract has antibacterial and antiviral powers, with plenty of compelling, anecdotal reports supporting its use in combating the flu. A word of caution, however-sometimes it’s so effective it can cause what is known as the Herxheimer reaction: A die-off of viruses (or bacteria) occurs, resulting in the release of large amounts of toxins. This can cause flu-like symptoms. If this happens to you, reduce the dosage and continue on with treatment. I recommend the Olive Leaf product from Ameriden (www.Ameriden.com).

FDA Stuns Scientists

FDA Stuns Scientists, Declares Mercury in Fish to be Safe for Infants, Children, Expectant Mothers!

by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, December 17, 2008

In a truly astonishing betrayal of public safety (even for the FDA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration today revoked its warning about mercury in fish, saying that eating mercury-contaminated fish no longer poses any health threat to children, pregnant women, nursing mothers and infants.
Last week, the FDA declared trace levels of melamine to be safe in infant formula. A few weeks earlier, it said the plastics chemical Bisphenol-A was safe for infants to drink. Now it says children can eat mercury, too. Is there any toxic substance in the food that the FDA thinks might be dangerous? (Aspartame, MSG, sodium nitrite and now mercury…)
This FDA decision on mercury in fish has alarmed EPA scientists who called it "scientifically flawed and inadequate," reports the Washington Post. Even better, the Environmental Working Group (www.EWG.org) issued a letter to the EPA, saying "It’s a commentary on how low FDA has sunk as an agency. It was once a fierce protector of America’s health, and now it’s nothing more than a patsy for polluters."
Is anyone really surprised? The FDA is a drug-pushing, people-betraying, scientifically illiterate criminal organization that, time and time again, seeks only to protect the profits of powerful corporations whose products poison the people. This statement is no longer a mere opinion. It is an observable fact based on the FDA’s own pattern of behavior and its outlandish decisions that predictably betray the American public.

The real reason this is happening

You want to know the REAL reason the FDA is easing up on its warning about mercury in fish? It’s because the agency is being relentlessly pounded over two related issues: Mercury in dental fillings and mercury preservatives in vaccines. And the FDA can’t keep up its lie about the "safety" of vaccines and mercury fillings if it has already declared mercury to be dangerous in fish, right?
To the criminal minds running the FDA, the clever solution is to revoke the warning about mercury in fish. Thus, the FDA takes the position that all mercury is safe, and suddenly they’re off the hook on mercury fillings and thimerosal in vaccines.
In other words, the FDA has just aligned itself as a defender of one of the most neurotoxic substances that’s ever been found. Only a truly corrupt regulator could even attempt to defend such a position, and only a truly insane individual could argue that mercury exposure is safe for infants, children and expectant mothers. Not coincidentally, mercury exposure causes insanity (look up the historical term "mad as a hatter").

Given that most of the FDA decision makers probably have mercury fillings in their mouths and mercury molecules lodged in their brains from getting their vaccine shots, it’s no stretch to consider the possibility that the FDA decision have, in a very strict medical sense, lost their minds due to mercury exposure. There’s hardly any other way to explain the mad behavior of FDA officials.
I think it’s time we called for an FDA MUTINY and declared the leaders of that agency to be too incompetent to run it anymore. These people need to be relieved of command before their hazardous pronouncements lead to yet more consumers being poisoned or killed. The FDA scientists, in my opinion, should revolt (in a non-violent way, of course) against the politically-motivated decision makers spewing all this "eat more poison" advice.

Prescription Drugs More Likely to Kill You than Recreational Drugs

By Dr. Joseph Mercola on 12/15/2008

As has been repeatedly demonstrated, and as this latest report so clearly illustrates, prescription drugs can, and frequently do, pose SERIOUS risks to your health.

More than 700,000 people visit U.S. emergency rooms each year as a result of adverse drug reactions. And, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), adverse drug reactions from drugs that are properly prescribed and properly administered cause about 106,000 deaths per year, making prescription drugs the fourth-leading cause of death in the U.S.

Compare this to the death toll from illegal drugs — which is about 10,000 per year — and you begin to see the magnitude of the problem that the pharmaceutical industry is propagating.

The problem has reached such proportions that you now see public service announcements warning you about the dangers of pharmaceutical drug use and addiction, just like the ones you used to see against street drugs.

And when you consider the fact that the average American, aged 19 to 64, is now on close to 11 prescription drugs, it’s not difficult to see how serious health problems from side effects and misuse might ensue.

Reported Side Effects of Pharmaceutical Drugs Now Include a 1 in 4 Shot at Premature Death

This latest analysis of federal data by the nonprofit Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) offers up some truly shocking information.

Fatalities from adverse drug reactions – more than 4,800 of them — accounted for 23 percent of all adverse reaction reports in the first quarter of 2008! (This is a 3 percent increase in prescription drug deaths from the last calendar quarter of 2007.)

Folks, if that’s not a wakeup call, I don’t know what is.

Two drugs accounted for a disproportionately large share of the problems.

Heparin, which was found to be the second most dangerous drug on the market, was also listed on the FDA’s latest list of 20 potentially dangerous drugs. I recently met Bill Faloon, the head of the Life Extension Foundation, and he told me his research suggested that anyone taking heparin would benefit from taking 45 mg of vitamin K2, which would not only stabilize the heparin dose, but prevent many of the devastating side effects.

The popular anti-smoking drug Chantix, on the other hand, was not on the FDA list. This is astounding considering the findings in this ISMP report.

Of the nearly 21,000 reports of serious drug reactions received by the FDA between January and March, 1,001 of them were linked to Chantix — more than for the ten best-selling brand name drugs combined!

Chantix even out-harms the addictive troublemaker oxycodone, a potent pain medication.

While an estimated 3.5 million Chantix prescriptions have been written since its FDA approval in May 2006, government estimates place oxycodone prescriptions written at more than 7 million per year. Yet despite having about half the prescription rate, Chantix has received more than two-and-a-half times more adverse reaction reports than oxycodone.

And when you consider the fact that these numbers are based on a monitoring system that relies on voluntary reports from doctors only, the reality of this problem becomes truly staggering. Several studies have already shown that as little as 1 to 4 percent of all adverse drug reactions are ever reported.

Paying to Use the MOST Dangerous Option Available

Currently, the warnings for Chantix say that you may be too impaired to drive or operate heavy machinery – a standard warning found on many medications – but offers no clues that patients taking Chantix may suffer blackouts and other problems that can lead to serious bodily harm.

Of the adverse reactions reported, 15 cases involved Chantix users involved in traffic accidents, and an additional 52 cases involving blackouts or loss of consciousness.

And while the FDA has issued warnings regarding Chantix’s link to suicidal acts, thoughts or behaviors, psychosis, hostility and aggression, it has ignored other kinds of deadly harm for which no warnings currently exist.

In fact, of the 78 deaths reported from Chantix, only 28 resulted from suicide. According to the report there were numerous deaths from cardiac causes, both thromboembolic and arrhythmic. In the fourth quarter of 2007, the other highest ranked drugs are all “black box warning” type of drugs; drugs that are intended for serious illness. In comparison, Chantix is intended for use in healthy people to help them quit smoking.

Never in the history of smoking cessation has any quitting product or technique harmed so many.

What Makes Chantix So Dangerous?

Chantix, which had the most adverse reaction reports of ANY medication currently on the market, works directly in your brain to ease nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

The main ingredient in Chantix, varenicline, causes the release of dopamine within your brain while blocking nicotine from occupying your alpha 4 beta 2 receptors. Many antipsychotic drugs block dopamine receptors, but they’re also known to cause movement disorders. (For example, the loss of muscle control seen in Parkinson’s disease is the result of the destruction of dopamine-producing cells in your brain.)

Now, your alpha 4 beta 2 receptors play numerous roles in your brain and body, and are central to muscle contractions. This includes both voluntary movement, and involuntary muscle contractions such as your heart muscle, and the smooth muscles that line your blood vessels.

So not only does Chantix decrease your ability to feel pleasure (by blocking your pleasure centers), which can lead to severe depression, but it can also wreak havoc with your heart and cardiovascular health.

According to ISMP, "These data provide a strong signal that the risks of varenicline [Chantix] treatment have been underestimated, and show that a wide spectrum of serious injuries are being reported in large numbers."

Honestly, is it really worth it?

The Quitting Method Proven MOST Effective is Also HARMLESS

Nearly all quitting method surveys to date show that, long-term, cold turkey quitters actually do better than users of nicotine gum, anti-smoking patches, lozenges, and anti-smoking drugs. For example, a 2006 National Cancer Institute quitting method survey of 8,200 smokers found that after 9 months, 16 percent of people who quit on their own were still smoke-free, compared to 14 percent among quitters relying upon the nicotine patch, gum, lozenge, or Zyban (another anti-smoking drug linked to suicides and seizure deaths).

With side effects this numerous and serious, it’s astounding that this drug is pushed on otherwise healthy people for a problem that has been proven “fixable” without medical intervention whatsoever…

Cervarix cervical cancer jab dangers?

Mystery illness paralyses girl given cervical cancer jab in UK

Daniel Foggo and Philip Cardy  The Sunday Times  December 14, 2008

A 12-year-old schoolgirl has been left paralysed from the waist down by a mystery illness that came on 30 minutes after she was given the new anticervical cancer jab.

Ashleigh Cave suffered dizziness and headaches soon after the vaccination at her school and then deteriorated rapidly, collapsing several times over the following days.

A week later she was admitted to hospital after losing all strength in her legs and, two months on, there has been no improvement.

Her mother Cheryl, 37, from Aintree, Merseyside, is blaming her daughter’s condition on the human papillomavirus (HPV) jab, which was introduced in Britain in September as part of a government-funded vaccination programme.

All girls aged 12 and 13 are being offered vaccinations with Cervarix, a drug that stimulates the body to defend itself against HPV, to protect against the later onset of cervical cancer which is linked to the virus.

In America, where an immunisation programme using a similar product, Gardasil, began more than a year earlier, there have been dozens of serious “adverse events” reported in which a link to the vaccinations is suspected.

They included 30 deaths in addition to cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome, an auto-immune disease that can cause paralysis. The American authorities have said, however, that there is no evidence the HPV jabs caused these reactions. (Surprise, surprise!)

Ashleigh’s case has been logged with Britain’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency as an instance of possible Guillain-Barré syndrome, although her doctors have now apparently ruled it out as the cause.

The agency has also indicated that the illness was probably not caused by the jab. Ashleigh’s doctor at Alder Hey children’s hospital, Liverpool, where she is undergoing tests, has said she did not have a “pathological reaction” to the vaccine.

Cheryl Cave said that she found the timing of her daughter’s symptoms impossible to ignore.

She said that within 30 minutes of Ashleigh having the jab at Maricourt Catholic high school on the morning of October 15, she was complaining of severe headaches and dizziness. Over the next 48 hours her condition worsened and she collapsed five times. Two days later they set off to visit friends in Hampshire but the schoolgirl collapsed again on the train.

She was admitted to Frimley Park hospital in Camberley, Surrey, where doctors gave the initial diagnosis of “vertigo and generalised myalgia, probably due to recent vaccinations”.

On October 22, a week after she was given the HPV jab, she was admitted to Alder Hey hospital, where she has remained ever since.

Her mother said: “At first they tried to tell us she was imagining it because she was being bullied . . . they will not mention her illness and the vaccine in the same sentence.”

A spokesman for the medicines agency said: “Guillain-Barré syndrome naturally occurs in the population. There is no good evidence to suggest that the Cervarix vaccine can cause [it].”

GlaxoSmithKline, which makes Cervarix, said that the agency had suggested the case “was not linked to the vaccine”. (Surprise, surprise!)

                             DAILY DIGEST
               WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 10, 2008

In 1988 through 1995 I was a regular interview guest on KKUP radio, a local community station in Cupertino, California.  It was on an all-nite program from midnite to six am.  Mostly I discussed stories in the news and told about all the medical journal articles which I brought with me to show that most of the news stories were false.  The hot topic then was the discovery of the disease AIDS.  I proved the news was false.  This also proved to be a hot topic on the radio.  I had many hundreds of listeners/callers who called me and tried to refute my claims.  All of them failed.  I had boxes of medical scientific articles which I had marked up, dogeared and indexed to refute each point that they made.
I was more successful than I thought.  In April of 1989 I went to the San Francisco AIDS conference held in a large SF church.  I sat by myself in the back of the church.  I was not a speaker, just an on-looker, a Conference attendee.  At the beginning of the conference  I noticed that most of the thousands of participants in audience were turning around and pointing their fingers at me in the back of the church.  Somebody was telling them that I was “that evil Marshall Smith, who didn’t believe in AIDS.”    I had heard all those comments before in my radio interviews whenever the audience questioned me.  I assumed that most of the AIDS conference participants had either heard me on the radio or were told about me.  They all wanted to see who that guy was.  The purpose of the Conference was to form a coalition and push Presidents Reagan and H.W. Bush to spend billions on AIDS research and look for a cure.  On the radio I was claiming it was all a hoax.  And that is why I sat by myself in the back of the church.
At the end of the conference that afternoon, I left to go to my car.   In front of the church on the sidewalk, I was suddenly surrounded by about 30 black men all wearing black leather jackets.  It seemed to be a black gang surrounding me.  Two men wore blue dashikis with beaded blue caps.  The taller of the two spoke. “Mr. Smith, we are the Black Gay mens health alliance from East Oakland. We know what you’ve been saying, and we don’t like it.”
My first thought was, I was about to get stomped by an angry black gang of thugs.  They didn’t know I had a secret weapon.  For years I was a top radio disk jockey in the SF Bay area, and I spoke in crisp clear English.  That is what anybody would have heard if they listened to my KKUP interviews.  But I was born and raised in Berkeley, California, which is mostly a black community stretching all the way to East Oakland.  I was raised and went to school mostly with black kids.  I could speak “Black” just like I did with my classmates and friends in first grade.  I could “tox to them in theys own ebonic languidge.”  They were suddenly stunned, I could tell that simply by looking at them straight in the eye, and showing them I was not afraid.
I told them I had not brought along my boxful of medical science articles, since I was not planning to be a speaker at the 1989 AIDS Conference.  But I could prove I was correct just by “axing” them about their own experiences.  For the next five minutes, I stood in the middle of the circle of 30 men, and I asked them questions and surveyed them by raising “theys” hands to indicate what I said was true for them.
I mostly asked them about the mysterious opening and closing of “Free Health clinics” where they went to get an AIDS test.  How they had to search for another free clinic where they were told they tested positive for AIDS, and if they continued to have sex after that, they could be arrested as a dangerous felon for spreading AIDS.  So they agreed to the AIDS therapy which at that time was an “AIDS cocktail.”  And it was only after starting the therapy did they feel sick and have “full-blown AIDS.”  About 20 of the 30 men indicated they had all gone through that experience, and I asked the remaining 10 to confirm they had never gone to a Free clinic and never got AIDS.
Based on their own experiences I concluded, “See, You go to a free AIDS clinic and you end up with AIDS.  Don’t go to a free clinic and you don’t get AIDS.  Thus AIDS is not sexually transmitted, you only get it from the mysterious Free clinics.”  And as I usually did in my radio interviews, I added, “It would seem that somebody wants to eliminate hundreds of millions of black or gay people.  This is genocide against blacks.”  I then raised my hand to indicate I was leaving, and they broke the circle and I walked to my car.  I had just made 30 new friends who all believed what I had just taught them.
I was not surprised to find that this strange confrontation between me and 30 black men from Oakland had be told and retold around the world.  Within weeks I heard rumors of many black groups in Africa all claiming that AIDS is genocide coming from America.  It also was passed among black communities in the United States.  Yes, 20 years ago it even went as far as the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. My 30 black men in SF had done their job well.  They had listened, learned and like good activists they had quickly passed the word.  But as I said, I did not carry my box of medical journals, so the word they passed was only based on their own experiences, not on any scientific evidence.
Thus in April of this year 2008, when constant news media replays of Rev. Jeremiah Wright surfaced, he was shown as a black activist hot-head who said, “god damn America, AIDS is genocide against blacks!”  The news media portrayed this as obviously false and an embarrassment for Barack Obama.  Obama was forced to resign membership in the Church.  But I thought, “right on, Rev. Wright.  Finally somebody is telling the truth.”  I knew then that Rev. Wright had heard of my confrontation  with the 30 black men in SF in 1989.  Obama was forced to say he spent 20 years in the Church but never heard anything Rev. Wright ever had to say.  Such a shame.
And after Obama’s leaving the Church he also approved the spending of billions of dollars to combat AIDS in Africa.  This is like signing an execution order for hundreds of millions of blacks in Africa.  I suspect most of the blacks who applauded the election of the “first Africa-American” never knew what Obama had just done.  In my studies, the only group who had the deep pockets to open mysterious Free clinics, close them with no trace, and then reopen new clinics elsewhere which dispensed the AIDS cure, which was the actual kill mechanism,  was – the Troika.

FDA finally admitting mercury fillings could be dangerous!

FDA Reluctantly Admits Mercury Fillings Have Neurotoxic Effects on Children

Tuesday, December 02, 2008 by: David Gutierrez, staff writer

(NaturalNews) For the first time, the FDA has issued a warning that the mercury contained in silver dental fillings may pose neurological risks to children and pregnant women.
"Dental amalgams contain mercury, which may have neurotoxic effects on the nervous systems of developing children and fetuses," reads a statement that has been added to the agency’s Web site. "Pregnant women and persons who may have a health condition that makes them more sensitive to mercury exposure, including individuals with existing high levels of mercury bioburden, should not avoid seeking dental care, but should discuss options with their health practitioner."
The warning was one of the conditions that the FDAagreed to in settling a lawsuit filed by several consumer health groups.
"Gone, gone, gone are all of FDA’s claims that no science exists that amalgam is unsafe," said Charles Brown, a lawyer for Consumers for Dental Choice, one of the plaintiffs.
"It’s a watershed moment," said Michael Bender of the Mercury Policy Project, another plaintiff.
Mercury is a well-known neurotoxin that can cause cognitive and developmental problems, especially in fetuses and children. It can also cause brain and kidney damage in adults.
So-called dental amalgams, or fillings made with a mix of mercury and other metals, have been used since the 1800s. Although it is known that small amounts of mercury are vaporized (and can be inhaled) when the fillings are used to chew food, and though Canada, France and Sweden have all placed restrictions on the use of mercury fillings, the FDA has always insisted that amalgams are safe.
Dental amalgams are considered medical devices, regulated by the FDA.
Even the FDA’s new warning stops short of admitting that dental amalgams are dangerous for the general population. Instead, it focuses on the same population that has already been warned to limit mercury exposure by consuming less seafood: children and pregnant women. The FDA says it does not recommend that those who already have mercury fillings get them removed.
Millions of people have received amalgam fillings, although their popularity has dropped off in recent years. Currently, only 30 percent of dental fillings contain mercury – the rest are tooth-colored resin composites made from glass, cement and porcelain. These alternative fillings are more expensive and less durable than amalgam, however.
In 2002, the FDA began a regulatory review of amalgam that was expected to be complete within a few years. In 2006, with the review still incomplete, an independent FDA advisory panel of doctors and dentists rejected the agency’s position that there is no reason for concern about the use of amalgam. While the panel agreed that the majority of people receiving such fillings would not be harmed, panel members expressed concern for the health of certain sensitive populations, including children under the age of six.
The panel recommended that the FDA conduct further studies on the risks to children from dental amalgam, and that it consider a policy of informed consent for children and pregnant: that is, warning those groups of the risks associated with the fillings before installing them.
Part of the lawsuit centered on the FDA’s failure to respond to these recommendations in a timely fashion.
"This is your classic failure to act," federal judge Ellen Segal Huvelle told the agency.
As part of the lawsuit settlement, the FDA must reach a final decision on the regulation of amalgam by July 28, 2009.
"This court settlement signals the death knell for mercury fillings," Brown predicted.
But J.P. Morgan Securities analyst Ipsita Smolinski disagreed, saying that the FDA is unlikely to ban amalgam entirely
"We do believe that the agency will ask for the label to indicate that mercury is an ingredient in the filling, and that special populations should be exempt from such fillings, such as: nursing women, pregnant women, young children, and immunocompromised individuals," Smolinski said.
